Recognition for Top Performance: Adapting to Customer Needs
Part 2: Awards – from the 2022 In-Review Series
Welcome back for the second installment of our 2022 year in review. In our last post, we talked about one of the major themes for TA Services this year: Growth. Today, we’ll be looking back at the recognition we received from various industry publications for our outstanding customer solutions and services.
At TA Services, we’re dedicated to being a partner you can count on. For more than 36 years we’ve been a trusted provider for domestic and international multimodal freight brokerage, managed transportation, warehousing and fulfillment, and cross-border logistics. And every year we aim to better ourselves and grow to meet our customers’ needs.
We believe in doing things the right way — that’s why we do what we do. And to have our high level of service recognized and acknowledged within multiple industry-leading publications is extremely appreciated. It reinforces TA’s focus on the core values that drive us to outperform our competitors.
We know these awards wouldn’t be possible without the amazing team we’ve built here at TA Services and the strong relationships we’ve grown with our customers and exceptional carrier partners. Here’s a look back at our awards and recognition from 2022.
Supply & Demand Chain Executive’s 2022 Pros to Know List
In March, our very own, Andrew Welling, Director of Cross-Border Services, was named to Supply & Demand Chain Executive’s 2022 Pros to Know list. This list recognizes industry executives whose accomplishments can be used as a roadmap for other leaders looking to improve their business and operations.
Welling was recognized for his overall leadership and initiatives, including the application of the TA Services ‘Supplier Portal.’ This portal automatically calculates pricing models for shippers, improving the experience for our customers by reducing necessary communications, filling labor gaps, and streamlining the overall pricing process. Welling also helped implement a program that helps managed transportation customers use real-time data to build optimized loads.
“Over the last year, my goals revolved entirely around customer efficiency, and I negotiated many LTL and FTL contracts on behalf of key 3PL clients to bring stability to their supply chains. I am proud to be acknowledged on the 2022 Pros to Know list on behalf of the TA Services’ team.”

Supply & Demand Chain Executive’s 2022 Top Supply Chain Projects
Supply & Demand Chain Executive’s 2022 Top Supply Chain Projects recognizes innovative transformation projects that deliver bottom-line value to small, medium, and large enterprises for a range of supply chain functions. TA Services was recognized for its work managing the transportation for a Memphis-based construction project for one of North America’s largest and most experienced structural steel fabricators and erectors.
While we had previously overseen the mill-to-mill transportation services for this customer, this project required specialized services that allowed us to streamline the manufacturer’s operations. The project spanned a 12-month period, during which we transported 27,000 tons of steel and moved a total of 975 loads with 300 of those loads moved twice — first to the warehouse and then to the construction site.
“Our team is honored to receive this award which acknowledges the customized on-site services that our company provided for our customer. This particular steel company has continued to use TA Services for other major projects, including a bridge construction project which required the transportation of 150-foot-long steel pieces that weighed 175,000 pounds.”

SupplyChainBrain’s List of 100 Great Supply Chain Partners
There is something particularly rewarding about being recognized on SupplyChainBrain’s list of 100 Great Supply Chain Partners. Recipients of this honor are nominated by customers for their dedication to providing outstanding solutions and services.

Food Logistics’ 2022 Top 3PL & Cold Storage Providers Award
The Food Logistics’ 2022 Top 3PL & Cold Storage Providers award spotlights third-party logistics and cold storage providers that are leading the cold food and beverage industry. In the past year, TA Services has acquired companies that have helped us meet customer needs by expanding our cold-chain logistics and high-end brokerage specialization offerings: C2 Freight Resources and Scout Logistics. Our goal with these acquisitions has been to bring on companies that share our mission to deliver extraordinary results for our customers. This recognition is proof that we are succeeding in our mission.
“We are thrilled to be recognized as a top 3PL in the temperature-controlled space. We continue to expand not only the amount of services we offer, but the quality of those services as well. We are dedicated to providing the best support to our customers, and I’m thankful for a great team at TA Services that put customer service first and make logistics look easy.”
