2022 Expanded Services: International Shipping and Cold Chain Logistics

2022 Expanded Services: International Shipping and Cold Chain Logistics

At TA Services, we care about creating meaningful outcomes for our customers by providing first-class integrated solutions. We work closely with our customers so we can anticipate their needs and support them in all of their logistic requirements. This often means that we need to expand our services to provide the solutions they need.

In 2022, we placed some of our focus on expanding our capabilities in two services in order to continue to meet our customers’ needs: international shipping and cold chain logistics. Read on for insights into our increased capabilities in these services as well as how you can get in touch to partner with TA Services for international, cold chain, and all of our services.

International Shipping

At TA Services, we have nearly 40 years of experience with full truckload (FTL) and less-than-truckload (LTL) shipping between the United States, Mexico, and Canada. And while we are huge supporters of ‘Made in America,’ we can’t deny our customers’ need for international shipping. Many businesses have turned to international imports, especially given the massive boom in consumerism caused by the pandemic. TA Services aims to be wherever our customers need us — and that includes internationally.

“TA Services is a problem-solving company. Our goal is to help shippers through every aspect of their logistics needs. With the rise of purchasing products on the international market to help curb costs, we knew we needed to adapt in order to be a one-stop shop for our customers and any supply chain needs they may have. TA makes ship happen – now we do that on a global scale so we can be anywhere our customers need us to be.”

Reo Hatfield, Vice President of Corporate Services

What does international shipping entail?

For domestic shipments, we can work with our customers to oversee every aspect of the shipment, providing around-the-clock support and consistent visibility. And we can also step in to do the same for international shipments. When your cargo arrives from overseas to a U.S.-based port, it must then be transported to its final domestic destination. TA Services can help with LCL (less than containers loads) and FCL (full containers loads) as well as air freight from all around the world.

International shipments also come with added federal shipping regulations. TA Services works with customs brokerage service providers and freight forwarder partners to help streamline your processes for imports and exports and ensure you’re following any necessary regulations.

Cold Chain Logistics

With the recent acquisition of Scout Logistics, Canada-based specialists in over-the-road transportation of perishable freight, TA Services has expanded our cold chain logistics services for our customers.

Cold Chain Logistics - We Have You Covered

“Expanding our cold chain logistics services allows us to keep up with increasing demand for temperature-controlled products. We provide our logistics expertise to our customers, so they can maintain strict quality standards on their temperature-sensitive products; ensuring safe, superior products arrive to their end consumers.”

Chris Bahr, Vice President of Brokerage Operations

What does cold chain logistics entail?

Various types of cargo have stringent temperature requirements that must be met throughout the supply chain in order to preserve the products, including perishable foods like dairy and produce as well as pharmaceuticals. Cold chain management is critical for ensuring the viability, safety, and quality of those items when they arrive at their final destination. TA Services offers cold chain logistics services from warehousing to transportation.

Why choose TA Services for your cold chain management needs?

Cold Chain Expertise
Our logistics experts can help optimize your shipments and ensure your needs are all met. And with the addition of our team members from Scout Logistics, we can provide even more support for cold chain management.

Consistent Capacity
We have relationships with temperature-control carriers around the country, so you have access to the capacity you need where and when you need it.

Warehousing & Transportation
We’re a one-stop shop for your cold chain management needs, both during storage at warehouses and while in transit on the road. Trust us for whatever your cold chain needs may be.

Moving forward with our customers

With every strategic decision we made in 2022 — including expanding our service offerings — we’ve had our customers and their needs top of mind. We’re extremely proud of the progress we’ve been able to make together this year, and we look forward to even more progress in 2023.

Be sure to tune in for the next installment of our 2022 Year in Review series. We’ll be hearing directly from carriers to understand what’s most important to them and what their thoughts are on the past year.

And if you haven’t already read them, go back and read the first two installments of our series where we looked back at the many ways we’ve grown as a business in 2022 as well as the awards and recognition we’ve received from industry publications.
